The City has initiated a sanitary sewer forcemain construction project that will extend from 141st Street southerly along Broadway Avenue to a location near 148th Street and Birch Avenue. This construction project will upgrade current sewer facilities necessary to accommodate the rapid growth of the southern portion of the City. The installation of this forcemain will be installed within the existing street rights-of-way. However, the new line will cross a series of private driveways and public streets along the route of the piping as indicated on the map. We expect that vehicular access along Broadway Avenue between 141st Street and 148th Street will be impacted at various times during the project. Private driveways will be cut to install the piping and will be repaired immediately after the installation with the intent to minimize the impact on driveway access. All disturbed yard areas, including driveways, will be restored to pre-existing conditions as the project progresses.
Construction is scheduled to commence Tuesday, November 13th and will begin at the north end of the project area and move southerly along Broadway Avenue. The goal is to move as quickly along the route as possible to minimize impact and to restore yards, driveways, and public streets as the work progresses. If questions or issues arise regarding this project, please contact Lynn Burrow at 918-322-5409 or by email at email@example.com. Your patience during this project will be greatly appreciated.
