Growing in Glenpool; Seeking Partnerships with Business

Glenpool, a southern suburb of Tulsa, Oklahoma, continues to grow. In fact, Glenpool was named the “Best Place to Raise a Family in Oklahoma” in 2011 by Bloomberg Businessweek. The city of Glenpool grew 26% between 2000 and 2010 and is projected to grow another 9% by 2018. Growth in the trade area served by Glenpool is similar, with an 18% increase in population since 2000 to 103,526 residents, and an additional 4.34% growth projected by 2018. Total retail sales in the City of Glenpool grew from $91 million in FY 2008 to $139 million for FY 2011. Benefitting from its location on US HWY 75 and the more than 45,000 cars per day traveling that road, and from Tulsa's onward march south, Glenpool continues to attract new businesses and new residents.
