Assistance will be available for those who had damage from the storms and flooding between May 5th and June 4th. If you reported damage to the FEMA hotline previously and were denied because the disaster declaration was not in place, the city encourages you to double-check your status by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362). If you had damage but have not yet reported it to FEMA directly, please call 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) and report it as soon as possible. Assistance determinations will be made by FEMA and not at the local or county level. The process is now in the hands of state and federal agencies and only those registered with FEMA through the hotline will be eligible for assistance.
