[ARCHIVED] Service Spotlight

Joe Wuest

This week, we highlight Joe Wuest, Economic Development Director for the City of Glenpool.
A normal day for Joe can be pretty busy: meeting with local businesses to discuss needs and resources, collaborating with local and statewide resources (higher education institutions, key governmental departments, and important professional organizations, to name a few), and more to provide critical incentives, training, and workforce development to the City.
It may sound like a lot, but Joe knows how important his work is. "My role exists to support businesses through their growth and hardships and to attract new businesses which will produce more jobs in our community."
His supervisor, City Manager David Tillotson, commends Joe for his dedication to making Glenpool better. "Joe has a passion to see this City grow and works hard to develop trust within our business community," he says. Joe is also committed and will take on additional work just to help. "Joe is always willing to take on tasks that need to be done, even if they don't fall into his area of responsibility. He is great at finding ways to live out our core value of 'Show that you care.'"
Joe is excited by what's coming for Glenpool. "Glenpool is just getting started. There is so much amazing growth potential when you think about the improvements to the quality of life and entertainment that is in the works for our citizens."
When Joe isn't working, he's spending as much time with his family as possible. He enjoys being involved in his local church community, mentoring, and helping young people grow as positive contributors to society.
We would like to thank Joe for his passion for our City and all of the work he puts in to help our city grow and evolve! Thanks, Joe!
